Smeet is a seasoned professional in M&A and business valuation, specializing in advising senior executives on transaction strategy, capital optimization, and long-term value creation. He has worked closely with corporates and family offices across the UAE and KSA, and played a key role in listing several marquee entities on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).

Previously, he helped shape the global Corporate Development function at Finablr Group—parent company of leading brands such as Travelex, Unimoni, and UAE Exchange. Before that, he led a large valuations and financial advisory team at Aranca, a global advisory firm.

Smeet began his advisory career in the UK at PwC, where he worked on the restructuring of Lehman Brothers’ UK assets and managed key aspects of the asset recovery process for entities such as Opal Properties and Jessops.

He is a CFA charterholder and holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics. He also completed his Chartered Accountancy (ACA) qualification with PwC.
